If I buy new cabinet fronts for the kitchen and clean the base – the spot look the same?
Not quite sure which means the purchase of new cabinet fronts. You mean the new gates? If so, it should be possible to match, but the stain must match exactly. Some cabinet makers will sell a liter or gallon of stain used. (I know KraftMaid will.) Of course, you have to sand * all * of the old paint. It will be hard work, but possible.
